David Hare's beautiful play, SKYLIGHT is part of PENINSULA PRODUCTIONS' Staged Reading Series. David Hare is a British playwright, who was nominated for 2 Academy Awards for writing The Hours and The Reader. Directed by Alan Brodie, and featuring Olesia Shewchuk as Kyra, Graham Bullen as Tom, and Daniel Bristol as Edward.
SYNOPSIS: On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant, a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires.

Olesia returns to Royal City Musical Theatre to play Zelda in Singin' in the Rain, after playing Fraulein Kost in Cabaret last year. Directed by Valerie Easton. RCMT produces large scale musical theatre including casts of up to 60 performers and a live orchestra of 20+ musicians. Each year they welcome more than 10,000 audience members to New Westminster B.C.

Olesia plays Desdemona and Mercutio in GOODNIGHT DESDEMONA, GOOD MORNING JULIET, directed by Sarah Rodgers. Olesia also choreographed the dancing. The show runs Jan 25-Feb 17, Thur-Sat 8pm, and Sun at 2pm.
